Gabe Schray is on the soundtrack to Out Of Place.  Lucky, I know.

I found his music through Ahmed Sinkane’s blog while I was coincidentally listening to one of his bands (without realizing it until I read Amed’s soundtrack.

In this video Gabe is constructing a song in front of an audience. Just watch this and feel excited.

His new album is out! Check it at www.actualarchives.org

permalink I just watched Escape From New York. John Carpenter is slowly becoming one of my favorite directors. His ability to create fantastic worlds is incredible. This poster should be on my wall.

I found this on Kottke.org. Thanks for posting it Kottke.  I couldn’t stop watching it. Welle’s youthful energy is still visible in his aging face. And what he says is pretty interesting stuff. Very thoughtful interview segment.
