I just watched Escape From New York. John Carpenter is slowly becoming one of my favorite directors. His ability to create fantastic worlds is incredible. This poster should be on my wall.
I found this on Kottke.org. Thanks for posting it Kottke. I couldn’t stop watching it. Welle’s youthful energy is still visible in his aging face. And what he says is pretty interesting stuff. Very thoughtful interview segment.

Amazing video piece on Richard Kenvin from a series put out by The Surfers Journal by Tyler Manson.
I especially like the moment Kenvin says he wants to show them something and the camera holds on the shot of him going up into his loft and holds and holds until he comes down with a large note pad. Perfectly shot and edited.
